Originally from Spain, the Andalusian has been bred in the United States and Great Britain. They are smallish, active, closely feathered birds that tend to be noisy and rarely go broody – roosters will weigh around 7 lbs and the hen 5 lbs. Ideally the plumage should be slate blue with delicate black lacing, but in lots of birds the blue can be various hues and the lacing can be lost. The quality of the color and lacing will depend on the quality of the chicken’s lineage. They tolerate heat better than the cold, but need shade to retreat to when it becomes too hot or humid. Color of eggs is white.

Please pre-order at least one month prior to the availability dates noted below. All orders must be pre-paid. In the event that your selections are not available, an exchange or in-store credit will be provided. No refunds/credits/exchanges for orders canceled less than 30 days prior to the start of the availability period, or for orders not picked up by the pickup deadline.

All prices include Marek’s and Coccidiosis vaccinations (where applicable) and include in-store care (poul-vite, pasty-butt treatment, etc.) for up to five days from delivery from hatchery. There are no additional shipping charges or taxes.
